During Renovation

Renovation has begun on the new office of the North Central Missions Center. Check back for up to date photos of the exciting work being done on the North Arnold Mill property.

In order to begin, plans must be made over coffee. Alan Morris and Red Meador discuss the task at hand.

The first course of action was to deconstruct before reconstructing. Before walls can be built, partitions must come down.

Two partitions are down and two more to go. Curtis and Alan removed the partitions carefully so they could be reused elsewhere.

Progress thus far on one side of the wall. An electrician will need to move wires before more cutting is done. Once complete a partition will be installed.

Instead of doing a full wall removal, a window will be installed for viewing access into the worship center. A speaker with volume control is already installed in the room.

The kitchen will also have access to the worship center. This will be convenient for those serving food in the large room. Plumbing must be rerouted for the sink.

The reception office has been made accessible with an opening. Later a pull down door will be installed over the desk.

A window for viewing will be installed in the left opening. This will enable Janice to see who is at the door in the foyer area.

The plumbing is complete, the cabinets are moved and the openings are ready for the doors.

Classroom 2

The wall for classroom 2 is complete and is ready for a door. Also the opening into the worship center is complete and is ready for the partition. The doors and partitions are being reused for the project.

Drywall has been installed into the openings so the windows and doors can be installed later.

The arch at the foyer is complete and drywall has been applied. The dramatic effect will be nice as people enter the front door.

Another arch is complete at the end of the hallway leading to the rear doors and more offices. The wall beyond the arch has been installed with openings for doors.

The crying room window is complete with drywall in classroom 1.

The two rear offices across from the kitchen will house the banner printer and the associates office.

From the foyer, both arches are easily seen down the hall to the rear of the building. The offices are on the right with classrooms and nursery on the left.

The opening into classroom 2 will allow for overflow seating in the worship center for church plants, meetings, and banquets.

The kitchen door and opening is complete and ready for the doors. The sound system still needs to be moved to the opposite corner of the worship center.
